Dr. Roy S. Washburn is a 1973 graduate of Baylor College of Dentistry. He completed a one year general dentistry residency program in the USAF prior to becoming an assistant professor at Baylor College of Dentistry. Here he taught for two years in the department of fixed prosthodontics. While at Baylor he was honored with the Vernon Johnson Trophy from the Academy of General Dentistry ant the Founders Trophy for the best table clinic presentation at The Dallas Mid-Winter Convention.

He began his private practice in 1980 and was founder of Park Cities Dental Associates in 1982. Since then he has practiced all phases of dentistry including functional orthopedic-orthodontics for arch development in children and traditional straight-wire braces for general orthodontics in adolescents and adults. He is a certified provider of Invisalign and Ortho Clear orthodontic techniques.

Dr. Washbun is a member of the Sleep Disorders Dental Society, for providing treatment for snoring and sleep apnea. He is a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, a member of the Dallas County Dental Society, The Texas and American Dental Societies, as well as the American Orthodontic Society and the Academy of GP Orthodontics. He is very active in the community having served on The Boards of Park Cities YMCA (Chairman in 1996), Dallas Can Academy, Rotary Club of Park Cities, and State Fair of Texas Youth Scholarships, and the Vestry for St. Michaels and All Angels Church. He has been happily married for 35 years with two grown children.
